Happy February! As there is very little data to report for 2018 so far, I am going to give you one more look back at 2017 and present the information in a different way. The graph here shows various price ranges for Tarrytown transactions and compares to 2015 and 2016, looking at the proportion of sales in a specific price band. Some highlights:
- Predictably the sub-500K sale has disappeared from the market and none were reported in MLS in 2017
- The biggest change from 2016 to 2017 was in the 750-999K sales, which dropped from 38% of the total down to 26% of the total
- The other big change was in the 1.5 – 1.759M sales, which increased from 7% to 13% of total sales
- And median days on market was below 90 days for all price bands but 1.75 – 1.99M
